Terms of Use

Clear terms for clear miles.

These terms provide product-specific information about Milelight. Your license to use the iPhone app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

Effective September 4, 2026
Important

Milelight organizes mileage records. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.

Apple Standard EULA

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Milelight, you agree to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”) and to the product-specific terms on this page. If these terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls your license to the app.

2. What Milelight does

Milelight helps you record, classify, review, edit, and export mileage information. You can record a route with location, add a missed trip manually, review insights, and generate PDF or CSV records. Optional Auto Track can help recognize drives in the background when the required permissions are enabled.

You are responsible for reviewing each record for accuracy and deciding how it should be classified before relying on it or sharing it.

3. Included drives and Milelight Pro

Milelight includes three saved drives without a payment card. After that device-local allowance is used, a Milelight Pro subscription is required to create additional recorded or manual drives. Deleting a trip does not restore an included drive.

Milelight Pro plans, billing periods, current prices, and renewal terms are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple Account, renew automatically unless canceled, and are managed through Apple. You can restore an eligible purchase from the Milelight Pro screen.

If Pro ends, your existing trip history remains available to view, edit, delete, analyze, and export. Pro removes the limit on saving new drives; it does not take ownership of your saved records.

4. Estimates and professional advice

Mileage rates, work estimates, potential deductions, and report summaries are informational tools. They are not guaranteed payments, reimbursements, deductions, or eligibility determinations. Employer rules and tax treatment vary by person, place, use, and time.

Milelight is not an official government form and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Keep any supporting records you need and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

5. Safe and lawful use

Do not interact with Milelight while operating a vehicle. Start, stop, review, or edit a trip only when it is safe and lawful to do so. You are responsible for following driving, device-use, employment, reimbursement, recordkeeping, and tax rules that apply to you.

6. Your records and exports

You remain responsible for your trip information and for the recipients and services you choose when exporting it. Milelight does not operate an account or cloud backup. Protect your device, review your records, and keep separate copies when your situation requires them.

7. Availability and changes

Features may depend on iPhone hardware, iOS settings, location availability, Background App Refresh, Apple Maps, the App Store, and network access. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature, subject to the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law.

8. Privacy

The Milelight Privacy Policy explains how trip, location, purchase, and website support information is handled.

We may update these terms as Milelight changes. The effective date above will identify the current version. For product questions, purchase-access issues, or feedback, contact support.
